the times they are a changing

so, it's been another LONG while since i've been here. it's frankly been a long while since i've been anywhere but school it seems like...

and that's where i am now, at 7.06 am, and i'm going to blog at work because, well, where else will i do it??

so here's what happened to me last night. i went to eckerd to pick up some medication and i also was purchasing some candy. so i'm standing on the candy aisle, and i love doing that in like eckerd or cvs or some similar place, because they have such a nice assortment it seems. more so than say a grocery store or something. i could be wrong about that, but i've always sort of felt that way about it. anyway, so i'm trying to decide between some junior mints and some m&m's, when i glance out the doorway and see that it's dark outside. i suddenly think, "i better hurry up and get out of here before they close."

so i hurriedly gather the junior mints (i knew you'd b curious about the choice) and i rush back to the pharmacy to check out, sure that at any minute an announcement will come on that says "attention customers: we will be closing in 10 minutes." while i'm checking out, a line forms behind me, and i wonder why the checkout girl is not in more of a hurry, seeing as how the store is about to close down. when i eventually do get out, just in the nick of time, and i get into my car, imagine my surprise when the clock on the radio reads 6.46.

also, the other day at about 5.00 i looked outside and thought, "i should go ahead and get in the bed because house will be coming on soon." house, as we all know, comes on at 9.00. but it was getting dark, so i immediately begin to feel that we were approaching the wee (is that how you spell that?) hours.

this morning on my way into work i suddenly realize that my lights are on. the sun is shining brightly, and i have turned on my headlights in the garage, out of habit. i yell "curses!" and shut them off.

the point, of course, being that i have not yet adjusted to the time change.

happy daylight savings.
